Daniela Tuda (she/her), LCSW

Daniela Tuda, LCSW, is a staff therapist at BPS. She received her Master’s Degree from the Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW). While in her master’s program, she had the opportunity to work in community mental health while implementing evidence-based practices.

After graduation, Daniela was trained by and worked with Mental Health Service Corps, an initiative by New York City that aims to reduce mental health disparities and implement evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Problem-Solving Therapy with adolescents and adults. Daniela is currently completing her Ph.D. in a Social Work program at Washington University and is a National Institute of Mental Health  T32 Pre-Doctoral Fellow for mental health services research.

In addition, Daniela continues to pursue her interest in research, working as a research assistant for various projects that aim to address the health disparities of racial and ethnic minorities living with serious mental illness. Daniela aspires to obtain a Ph.D. in Social Work in order to pursue research interests related to community mental health and the implementation of evidence-based practices for marginalized communities.

Outside of work, Daniela enjoys traveling, hiking and most importantly cuddling with her two cats (Olive and & Chimichurri), while watching all things Netflix.
