Dr. Michelle Selby, Assistant Director of BPS
Michelle Selby, Psy.D., is the Assistant Director at BPS. She earned her doctorate degree in School and Clinical Child Psychology from Pace University, her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, and has received training in a variety of settings, including high schools and middle schools, inpatient units, partial hospital programs, residential treatment facilities, and community outpatient clinics. Her pre-doctoral internship was at Trinitas Regional Medical, where she provided evidence-based assessment, treatment, and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Dr. Selby utilizes a collaborative therapeutic style, incorporating sensitivity, openness, and humor, while tailoring treatment to each client. She specializes in CBT and DBT for adolescents, families, and adults and has trained with Marsha Linehan’s Behavioral Tech.
Born and raised on crab cakes in Maryland, New York City stole Michelle’s heart in 2012 and has been home ever since. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her one-year-old nephew.
