Brooke Baykal (She/Her)

Brooke is a master’s student in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. Brooke holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Dayton.
Her background blends clinical work, education, research, and social services. Brooke has worked as a Behavior Intervention Specialist supporting adults with developmental disabilities and as an Early Childhood Clinician working with parents and young children. She has also taught both preschool and college students and has five years of experience working in psychological research labs.
Alongside her clinical and educational work, Brooke has a passion for somatic and mind-body approaches to well-being. She is a certified teacher of yoga and meditation for both children and adults, and has experience teaching emotional regulation skills, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation in both individual and group settings.
Brooke believes that effective clinical practice requires a sense of playfulness, curiosity, and compassion, that lasting change comes from meeting people where they are to build realistic, sustainable practices that support growth over perfection.
