Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Behavioral Psych Studio offers a one-year, post-doctoral fellowship for psychology students, who have completed an APA accredited Psy.D. or Ph.D. program, as well as an APA accredited internship. Our fellowship program was developed in 2020 and can be tailored with a DBT or CBT focus.

Fellows will become a part of a committed team of professionals who provide evidence-based treatment for a variety of mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. The fellow will be able to participate in our comprehensive DBT programs as well as our Anxiety and Mood Disorders programs.

Our fellowship program provides opportunities for excellent training in delivering evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, and adults. The fellow will be trained in intake evaluations, treatment planning, collaboration with other providers and have opportunities for specialized training in several evidence-based treatments, including:

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Prolonged Exposure
  • Exposure and Response Prevention Cognitive Processing Therapy
  • CBT for ADHD Behavioral Activation
  • Parent Management Training

The fellow will also participate in co-leading DBT skills groups and will have opportunity to lead other groups as well. The fellow will provide comprehensive treatment for a wide variety of disorders, including anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders. There will be a choice between a CBT and a DBT track.

The fellow will have a caseload of 18-22 patients, participate in weekly staff meetings, DBT consultation team, and participate in a didactic series on different evidence-based treatments. In addition, the fellow will receive 1-2 hours of individual supervision, weekly.

At BPS, we are committed to creating an anti-racist, inclusive culture and are dedicated to continued learning, education, and intervention around how racism and prejudice manifest in our clinical work. As such, the fellow will participate in continued anti-racist education and training at BPS.

We begin accepting applications in December and notify candidates with decisions in January.
