Nataliya Istomina (She/Her), DBT Fellow
Nata, a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, graduated from Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University in Moscow in 2006. With extensive psychodynamic training, Nata has worked in various clinical settings, gaining experience with diverse populations. She has also developed a successful private practice specializing in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety disorders.
Born in Moscow, Russia, and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, Nata is multilingual, speaking Georgian, Russian, English, and maintaining a love for learning French.
In 2022, Nata relocated to New York City with her twins and soon began a graduate program in Mental Health Counseling at NYU to pursue her career as a psychotherapist. She is excited to join BPS for an internship, where she will enhance her skills in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and broaden her ability to provide culturally sensitive and clinically diverse care to various communities.
In her free time, Nata enjoys long runs, cherishes moments with her teenage children, and indulges in trips to the opera.
