Sneha Subramanian (she/her), M.A., Intern

Sneha is currently pursuing a master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. She is excited to be working with BPS to complete her field placement training and join the BPS community!

She is currently Associate Director of the Thomas J Watson Fellowship at the Watson Foundation and has worked there since 2013. She has the privilege of working with recent college graduates before, during and after their fellowship.  

Sneha began her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Jumpstart for Young Children in San Francisco. Prior to joining Watson, she spent 5 years working with college students all over the Northeast at Let’s Get Ready, a New York based college access non-profit. She is passionate about empowering young people to see their strengths and fulfill their potential. 

Sneha was born in California but had the good fortune to live in India, Singapore and France growing up. She holds a B.A from the University of Redlands in International Relations, French and Race & Ethnic Studies and a M.A from New York University in Educational Leadership, Politics and Advocacy. 

Sneha has volunteered as a College Access Tutor for South Bronx United for  8 years and has served as Chair of the professionals network for Sakhi, a non- profit organization that works with survivors of gender based violence. In her free time, Sneha enjoys reading, receiving stamps in her passport and the diverse culinary experiences New York City has to offer.
